Pakistan Stock Exchange Announces Revised Weights for Alfalah Consumer Index

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has announced a rebalancing of the Alfalah Consumer Index (ACI), with changes set to take effect from April 9, 2025. This adjustment follows the index rules, as detailed on the official PSX website.

The rebalancing exercise, conducted as of March 27, 2025, has led to updated constituent weights within the ACI. According to the revised lineup, Lucky Cement Limited (LUCK) and Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL) both carry the highest weight, set at 10.00% each. Millat Tractors Limited (MTL) follows with a weight of 9.73%, while Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) is assigned a weight of 9.65%.

Other significant constituents include Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGP) with a weight of 8.33% and D.G. Khan Cement Company Limited (DGKC) at 7.64%. Cherat Cement Company Limited (CHCC) stands at 7.51%, and The Searle Company Limited (SEARL) is weighted at 6.51%. Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW) holds a weight of 5.87%, with Interloop Limited (ILP) at 4.53%.

Further down the list, Nishat Mills Limited (NML) is weighted at 4.00%, and International Steels Limited (ISL) at 3.06%. Unity Foods Limited (UNITY) and International Industries Limited (INIL) are weighted at 2.62% and 2.45% respectively. Fauji Foods Limited (FFL) carries a weight of 2.10%, and Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited (MUGHAL) is at 1.57%.

Lower-weighted constituents include Ferozsons Laboratories Limited (FEROZ) at 1.38%, Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited (GATM) at 1.18%, Crescent Steel & Allied Products Limited (CSAP) at 0.94%, and Nishat Chunian Limited (NCL) at 0.93%.
