Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has issued a Risk Warning Alert (RWA) against four companies due to their failure to pay the Annual Listing Fee (ALF) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) supervisory fee. This notification, referenced as PSX Notice No. PSX/N-100, was released on January 22, 2025, and sets a compliance deadline of April 21, 2025, for the concerned companies.
The companies facing the RWA include Amtex Limited (AMTEX), Ruby Textile Mills Limited (RUBY), Crescent Jute Products Limited (CJPL), and Dewan Textile Mills Limited (DWTM). The non-compliances are related to PSX regulations specific to each company, outlining various infractions including the failure to adhere to clauses 5.11.1 and 5.11.2.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these companies have until April 21, 2025, to rectify the non-compliance of Clause 5.11.1.(d) of the PSX Regulations. Should these companies fail to comply by the deadline, the PSX will enact further measures as per Clause 5.11.3.(e), which may include a compulsory buy-back directive to major shareholders or sponsors of the companies.
Furthermore, even if compliance with Clause 5.11.1.(d) is achieved within the stipulated period, these companies will continue to be listed in the Non-Compliant Segment. They will remain under this designation category until all non-compliances, as specified against each company, are addressed.
The PSX’s actions highlight the necessity for listed companies to adhere to regulatory requirements, ensuring transparency and accountability within the market framework.
