Karachi, The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) reported a mixed performance in its latest market report for December 18, 2023. The Main Board, comprising 524 listed companies, showed a total market capitalisation of approximately PKR 9.46 trillion, with a traded volume of over 1.89 billion shares. The traded value for the day stood at around PKR 24.6 billion. Out of the total companies, 107 advanced, 264 declined, and 10 remained neutral.

In contrast, the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) Board, with only three listed companies, reported a market capitalisation of about PKR 2.37 billion. The traded volume was significantly lower at 41,500 shares, and the traded value was just over PKR 303,000. The GEM Board witnessed an equal distribution among advancers, decliners, and neutral companies, with one each.

The report also detailed the publicly issued and privately placed debt securities. There are 13 listed debt securities with a total issue size of PKR 70 billion in the public sector. The private sector had a larger presence with 24 listed debt securities and a total issue size of PKR 516.51 billion. Additionally, there are 229 listed open-end mutual funds and eight listed ETFs.

Indices showed varied performances, with most experiencing a decline. The KSE-100 index closed at 65,204.68, down by 925.34 points or 1.40%. The KSE-All Shares index also fell by 405.39 points, closing at 43,643.83, a decline of 0.92%. Other notable indices like KSE-30, KMI-30, and PSX-KMI-All-Shares also reported declines in their values, ranging between 1.06% and 1.80%. However, the HBLTTI index, as of December 15, 2023, showed a marginal increase of 26.46 points, a 0.21% change, closing at 12,743.41.

Karachi, Treet Corporation Limited (TREETR2) has announced the schedule for its upcoming rights issue. According to the information provided to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, trading in the rights will commence on November 24, 2023. The last date of trading in these rights is set for December 15, 2023, while the deadline for the payment or renunciation of rights is December 22, 2023. The company has set the premium at Rs. 3.00.
