Pakistan Stock Exchange Suspends Trading of Three Companies Over Regulatory Defaults

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the continued suspension of trading in the shares of three companies due to their failure to address regulatory defaults. This decision follows an earlier notice, PSX/N-1071, issued on August 28, 2026, detailing the subject matter.

According to the latest report dated October 28, 2026, the companies affected by the suspension are M/s. Haydari Construction Company Limited, M/s. Mohammad Farooq Textile Ltd, and M/s. Saudi Pak Consultancy Company Limited. The suspension will remain in effect until the companies rectify the causes of their suspension or for another period of 60 days, commencing October 29, 2026.

M/s. Haydari Construction Company Limited and M/s. Mohammad Farooq Textile Ltd have both been cited for failing to hold their annual general meetings, not submitting annual audited accounts, non-payment of dues to the Exchange, and facing winding-up petitions filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in court.

Meanwhile, M/s. Saudi Pak Consultancy Company Limited has suspended commercial production and business operations in its principal line of business. Additionally, its statutory auditor issued an adverse opinion in the audit report, and the SECP has canceled its Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) license.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the decision to maintain the suspension of these companies stems from the powers vested in the Exchange under Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations.

These regulatory measures highlight the Exchange's commitment to maintaining transparency and compliance within the market. The designated market category for these companies remains under scrutiny as the PSX continues to monitor developments closely.
