Karachi: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) disclosed on Monday that its Board of Directors has approved a binding offer for acquiring a majority stake in the issued and paid-up ordinary share capital of an unnamed target company. This development was revealed in a notice issued under Rule 5.6.1 of the Rule Book of Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX), which ties into Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015.

According to the document dated July 31, 2026, PTCL's proposed transaction is contingent upon successful negotiations, due diligence, and the execution of definitive transaction documents. Furthermore, it requires the receipt of all necessary corporate, regulatory, and statutory approvals and consents. The proposed consideration and other commercial terms have yet to be finalized, indicating that no definitive agreement has been signed at this stage.
