Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the continuation of the trading suspension for Security Leasing Corporation Limited. The suspension, initially detailed in PSX Notice No. PSX/N-722 on July 26, 2024, will extend for an additional 60 days effective from September 27, 2024.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the decision to continue the suspension arises due to Security Leasing Corporation Limited's failure to address non-compliances under PSX Regulations. These include suspended commercial operations in its principal line of business, adverse opinions in its audit reports, the cancellation of its leasing license by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and ongoing winding-up proceedings initiated by SECP.
The PSX emphasizes that the trading in the shares of Security Leasing Corporation will remain halted until the causes for suspension are rectified, underlining the Exchange's commitment to enforcing compliance and maintaining the integrity of its market.
