Karachi: Quetta Textile Mills Limited, a key player in the textile sector, has officially announced a significant change within its leadership structure, effective January 23, 2026. The company disclosed that several directors have resigned from their positions, making way for new appointments to the Board of Directors.

The directors who have stepped down from their roles include Tang Iqbal, who held the dual position of Director and Chief Executive, along with Asim Khalid, Omer Khalid, Taugir Tariq, Saima Asim, Muhammad Saeed, and Abbas Ali. The resignations took effect on January 23, 2026, marking a pivotal shift in the company’s management.

In their place, the company has appointed new members to the board, including Tariq Iqbal, who assumes the role of Director. Joining him are Asim Khalid, Omer Khalid, Taugir Tariq, Saima Asim, and Abbas Ali, alongside Muhammad Ubaid Zameer, who joins as an Independent Director.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these changes in the board are part of a strategic move by Quetta Textile Mills Limited to align its governance with evolving business objectives. The new board composition is as follows: Tariq Iqbal as Director, Asim Khalid as Director, Omer Khalid as Director, Taugir Tariq as Director, Saima Asim as Director, Abbas Ali as Independent Director, and Muhammad Ubaid Zameer as Independent Director.

The company has requested that the TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange be informed of these developments, signaling the importance of transparency and communication with stakeholders in the wake of these changes.
