Karachi: Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX) has announced the re-composition of the KSE100 and KSE100PR Index, covering the review period from March 2026 to August 2026. This change, effective from October 01, 2026, is a reflection of sector-based and market capitalization-based criteria set out by the PSX.

In the latest revision, Image Pakistan Limited, Thatta Cement Company Limited, Nishat Chunian Power Limited, and Bank Makramah Limited have been inducted into the indices. They replace Hum Network Limited, Mehmood Textile Mills Limited, Pakistan Aluminium Beverage Cans Limited, and Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited. The rationale behind these changes varies, with some based on sector rules while others are determined by market capitalization.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this re-composition is part of a routine exercise to ensure the indices accurately represent the market dynamics. The detailed list of the KSE-100 Index companies, which will be implemented from the stated date, is available for stakeholders to review.

The designated market category being addressed in this report is the KSE-100 Index, a crucial barometer of the country's economic health. The changes announced reflect both the shifts in market capitalization and adherence to sector-specific rules, marking a significant move in the composition of the indices.
