Revised Trading and Settlement Schedule for DFC Announced by PSX

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced changes to the trading and settlement schedules for Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) for September and October 2024. This adjustment is due to the book closure dates of Adamjee Insurance Company Limited, BankIslami Pakistan Limited, and Habib Bank Limited.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the new trading and settlement schedules are as follows:

For the September and October 2024 contracts, which initially opened in July, the cum-benefit schedule will close on August 30, with settlement set for September 3. The non-entitlement schedule for the SEPB and OCTB contracts will see the contracts opening on August 27. SEPB will close on September 27 with settlement on October 1, and OCTB will close on October 25 with settlement on October 29.

It is also noted that any trades made in the SEPB and OCTB contracts will not be eligible for benefits and will be traded on an ex-benefit basis. PSX retains the right to modify these dates or adjust the duration of the contracts if necessary.

Market participants are advised to take note of these changes and plan their trading activities accordingly.
