Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced modifications to the trading and settlement schedules of the Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) for October and November 2024. These changes are in response to the book closure dates of the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Sazgar Engineering Works Limited.
The trading and settlement schedule for DFC-OCT-2024 and DFC-NOV-2024, previously issued on July 26, 2024, and August 30, 2024, respectively, will now observe altered timelines. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the adjusted dates are due to accommodate the operational aspects of the mentioned companies.
For the DFC-OCT-2024, the cum-benefit schedule will now close on September 27, 2024, a Friday, with settlement due on October 1, 2024, a Tuesday. Similarly, the DFC-NOV-2024 follows the same closing and settlement dates as the October contract.
Additionally, the ex-benefit trading schedules for the OCTB and NOVB contracts will commence on September 24, 2024, and will close on October 25, 2024, and November 29, 2024, respectively. Settlements for these contracts are scheduled for October 29 and December 3, 2024.
The PSX has also specified a rollover period from September 24 to September 27, 2024, during which trades of the above securities will not be eligible for the benefit payments and will be traded on an ex-benefit basis.
Market participants are advised to note these new schedules and the possibility of further changes, as PSX reserves the right to alter these dates or adjust the duration of the contracts if necessary.
