Karachi: S.G. Power Limited, a prominent energy company based in Karachi, Pakistan, has scheduled its 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) for October 28, 2024. The meeting will take place at Karachi.

The upcoming AGM is set to confirm the minutes of the previous meeting held on October 27, 2023. Members will review and adopt the audited annual accounts for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2024, including the directors' and auditors' reports. The appointment of auditors for the 2024-25 fiscal year and the fixation of their remunerations are also on the agenda. Additional business may be transacted with the chair's permission.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's shares transfer books will be closed from October 22 to October 28, 2024, to facilitate the AGM. Shareholders intending to participate can appoint proxies to vote on their behalf. Proxies must be submitted at least 48 hours before the meeting to be considered valid.

Participants are urged to update their contact details with the company’s share registrar, SMC-Private Limited, located at Saima Trade Tower, I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi. Those who have deposited shares with the Central Depository Company of Pakistan must bring their national identity cards for verification at the AGM.

The guidelines issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan on January 26, 2000, must be followed by all CDC account holders attending the meeting.
