Sana Industries Limited Reports Decline in Annual Profit Amid Revenue Decrease

Karachi: Sana Industries Limited has reported a significant decrease in its profit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. According to the company's unconsolidated statement of profit or loss, the profit after taxation stood at Rs 35.25 million, a sharp decline from the Rs 111.43 million reported in the previous year. This represents a very large or significant move in profitability.

The company's financial report, released on October 5, 2026, indicates that the decrease in profit is primarily attributed to a drop in revenue. The net revenue for the year was Rs 1.80 billion, down from Rs 2.42 billion in 2025, marking a very large or significant move. The gross revenue also saw a significant decline from Rs 2.86 billion to Rs 2.13 billion.

Sana Industries Limited's financial position as of June 30, 2026, reveals total assets amounting to Rs 2.72 billion, compared to Rs 2.68 billion in the previous year. The company's non-current assets decreased slightly to Rs 1.23 billion from Rs 1.25 billion, while current assets increased to Rs 1.49 billion from Rs 1.42 billion.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's share capital and reserves increased from Rs 826.06 million to Rs 887.48 million. The gain was driven by unappropriated profits rising to Rs 591.58 million from Rs 397.65 million, despite the absence of a general reserve this year.

The report also highlights a reduction in non-current liabilities, which fell from Rs 252.32 million to Rs 127.90 million. However, current liabilities saw an increase to Rs 1.71 billion from Rs 1.60 billion, largely due to a significant rise in loans from directors and sponsors, which went up to Rs 317.16 million from Rs 106.55 million.

Operationally, the company's gross profit increased to Rs 252.06 million from Rs 203.36 million, a big move, while operating profit rose to Rs 117.04 million from Rs 66.38 million. However, net finance and other income experienced a downturn, resulting in Rs -65.77 million, compared to Rs 134.38 million in 2025.

Sana Industries' earnings per share fell to Rs 1.77 from Rs 5.58, reflecting the overall decline in profitability for the year. The company continues to navigate challenges in the market as it adjusts its financial strategies to counter the downturn in revenue and profits.
