Sazgar Engineering Addresses Misleading Reports on Philippines Project

Lahore: Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has issued a statement to address recent reports circulating on social media regarding its involvement in a three-wheeler manufacturing project in the Philippines. The statement, dated November 3, 2026, clarifies the company's position on the matter.

The company emphasized that it has not directly established or is in the process of establishing a manufacturing project in the Philippines. Instead, its distributor has set up a manufacturing and assembly plant with Sazgar's support and technical assistance. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the export volume of three-wheelers and expanding Sazgar's presence in the international market. Importantly, the company has not made any equity investment in this venture.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Sazgar Engineering plans to export completely knocked down (CKD) units of its three-wheelers to the Philippines. This move is expected to contribute to the generation of foreign exchange, addressing a critical need for the country.

Sazgar further stated that any future decisions regarding equity investments in the Philippines or other overseas projects would be disclosed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, in compliance with relevant laws and disclosure requirements.
