SECP Denies Al Shaheer Corporation’s Request for Extensions

Karachi: Al Shaheer Corporation Limited has announced that its request for an extension to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and to submit its first quarterly financial statements has been denied by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The decision, communicated in a letter from SECP dated October 23, 2026, follows the company's initial application submitted on September 29, 2026.

The corporation sought additional time for the AGM and the laying of the financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, as well as for the preparation and submission of the financial statements for the quarter ending September 30, 2026. However, SECP's refusal means that the company must adhere to the original deadlines prescribed by regulatory authorities.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Al Shaheer Corporation Limited has committed to keeping the exchange updated on any further developments. The decision from SECP underscores the regulatory body's strict compliance requirements for corporate governance and financial reporting within the designated market category.

The decision marks an important development for Al Shaheer Corporation Limited as it continues to navigate the regulatory landscape, maintaining transparency and timely communication with stakeholders.
