Secure Logistics Group Limited Awarded NBFC License to Expand Digital Payment Services

Karachi: Secure Logistics Group Limited (SLG-Trax) has announced the acquisition of a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) License for its fully owned subsidiary, Logiserve (Private) Limited, following a comprehensive process conducted by the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The new license will facilitate the introduction of a digital payment platform offering services such as COD-backed working capital loans, invoice discounting, merchant virtual accounts, and a digital payment gateway.

The NBFC operations, governed by a regulatory framework, aim to support SLG-Trax's E-Commerce and Logistics Business Line by providing merchant-centric digital payment portals for collections, reconciliations, and vendor payouts. The platform will also offer short-term credit against COD receivables, with repayments made through direct deductions from future COD flows. This initiative is expected to benefit over 9,000 merchants associated with SLG-Trax, enhancing their financial operations through innovative solutions.

Logiserve's fintech infrastructure, developed in collaboration with a technical partner, promises seamless integration with the Group's E-Commerce and Logistics operations, thereby creating a closed-loop credit and payment ecosystem. This strategic move aligns with SLG-Trax's vision of fostering growth and efficiency within its business operations.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the issuance of this license is regarded as a materially positive development for SLG-Trax, with expectations of substantial contributions to the Group's consolidated bottom line. Further insights into the NBFC's operations and financial impacts are anticipated during an online corporate briefing scheduled for 3 p.m. on Friday, August 22nd, 2025.

The new initiative underscores SLG-Trax's commitment to leveraging financial technologies for the benefit of freelancers, resellers, and SMEs, particularly those with operational data but lacking formal credit histories. Through these services, the Group aims to accelerate receivables for SMEs and logistics vendors, demonstrating its ongoing support for innovation-led growth in the logistics and e-commerce sectors.
