Shell Pakistan Sees Varied Performance in Stock and Futures Trading at Pakistan Stock Exchange

Karachi, Shell Pakistan, a major player in the energy sector, exhibited a mix of stability and fluctuation in its stock and futures performance during the closing session of the Pakistan Stock Exchange on February 2, 2024.

The company’s stock (SHEL) opened at PKR 138 and closed slightly higher at PKR 138.25. During the trading session, the stock fluctuated between a low of PKR 135.6 and a high of PKR 137.4. A total of 296,688 shares were traded, closing at PKR 137.26.

In the futures market, Shell Pakistan’s April (SHEL-APR) futures showed no trading activity at the opening or closing but reached a high of PKR 145.19, ultimately closing at PKR 145.42. Similarly, the March (SHEL-MAR) futures also recorded no opening and closing trades but peaked at PKR 142.5 and concluded at PKR 142.73.

Contrastingly, the February (SHEL-FEB) futures demonstrated more activity, opening at PKR 139 and closing marginally higher at PKR 139.01. The low and high prices for the day were PKR 137.41 and PKR 139, respectively, with a total of 166,000 shares traded, closing at PKR 138.97.
