Siemens Pakistan Reports Strong Earnings Growth Amidst Decline in Revenue

Karachi: Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Co. Ltd. has reported a substantial improvement in its net profit for the nine months ending June 30, 2026, despite facing a notable decline in revenue. According to the unaudited condensed interim financial statements released on July 30, 2026, the company achieved a net profit after income tax of Rs. 769 million, a significant turnaround from a net loss of Rs. 23 million recorded in the same period last year.

The financial results indicate a marked increase in earnings per share, which rose to Rs. 93.25 from a loss per share of Rs. 2.77 in the previous year. However, the company's revenue from continuing operations declined to Rs. 5,355 million, down from Rs. 6,462 million in the corresponding period of 2025. Siemens Pakistan attributes this decline to the ongoing challenges in the regional geopolitical landscape and macroeconomic conditions.

Profit before income tax from continuing operations saw a big move, decreasing to Rs. 178 million from Rs. 453 million the previous year. This reduction underscores the ongoing challenges faced by the company in its core operational areas. Meanwhile, profit from discontinued operations was nil, in contrast to Rs. 724 million last year, which included a one-time gain from the sale of its Energy Business.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Siemens Pakistan's share performance reflects the company's financial turnaround and strategic initiatives, which have been well received by investors. The market has responded positively to the company's efforts to transform into ONE Tech Company, focusing on sustainable growth and innovation.

Looking ahead, Siemens Pakistan remains committed to leveraging its technological leadership to provide integrated solutions that support digitalization and sustainability in key sectors. The company is closely monitoring macroeconomic developments to mitigate risks and maintain resilience in a challenging business environment.

The board of directors expressed gratitude towards the company's customers, employees, stakeholders, and shareholders for their continued trust and support, which have been pivotal in achieving these results. They emphasized the company's dedication to operational excellence and stronger customer partnerships as part of its future growth strategy.
