Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Reports Loss of Share Certificates Linked to Deceased Shareholders

Karachi: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited has reported the loss of multiple share certificates, which were registered under the names of deceased shareholders, as disclosed in a recent filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The company outlined the loss of share certificates encompassing a total of 220 shares distributed among five different folios. These certificates are currently unaccounted for due to either unverified or verified transfer deeds. The shareholders affected include Mrs. Humera Hakim Malik, with folio numbers indicating the loss of 43 shares each under two separate certificates, and other shareholders whose missing certificates range from 27 to 57 shares.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Sui Northern Gas has initiated the standard regulatory protocol by issuing a public notice. It cautions members of the exchange against dealing in these shares and declares that duplicate certificates will be issued to the legal heirs if no objection is received within three days from the notice’s circulation date.

This action underscores the company’s adherence to PSX regulations designed to protect shareholders' rights and ensure transparency in the wake of share certificate misplacements.
