Karachi: BankIslami Pakistan Limited has announced a suspension in the trading of its Sukuk, designated as [BIPLSC], for a brief period, according to a statement released by the company. The suspension is scheduled to occur from July 29, 2026, to July 31, 2026, with trading set to resume on August 3, 2026.

The announcement, made on July 28, 2026, outlines that the temporary trading halt is necessary due to the book closure process that is set to take place from July 30, 2026, to July 31, 2026. This closure is intended to facilitate the profit payment associated with the Sukuk.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the trading of such financial instruments often undergoes temporary suspension during book closure periods to ensure the smooth processing of profit payments. The designated market category for these Sukuk is not affected by this suspension.
