United Bank Limited Announces Board Meeting to Approve Annual Accounts

Islamabad: United Bank Limited (UBL) has scheduled its 254th Board of Directors meeting to be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, in Islamabad, at 10:00 a.m. The primary agenda of the meeting is to consider and approve the Annual Accounts of the Bank for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024. This meeting is crucial as it will also deliberate on the declaration of any entitlement for the shareholders.

In line with regulatory requirements, the bank has declared a "Closed period" from February 11, 2025, to February 19, 2025, inclusive of both days. During this period, as stipulated under Clause 5.6.4 of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Regulation, no Directors, the CEO, or Executives of UBL shall engage in any direct or indirect dealings in the company's shares.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the announcement of the closed period is a standard procedure to ensure transparency and prevent insider trading ahead of significant financial disclosures. This measure ensures that all shareholders have equal access to information once the annual accounts are public.

The bank's management has urged the TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange to be informed of these developments. As UBL is a significant entity in the banking sector, such meetings and disclosures are closely watched by market participants, reflecting the importance of transparent financial governance in maintaining investor confidence.
