Waves Home Appliances Limited Announces Major Changes Following Right Share Issue

Lahore: Waves Home Appliances Limited has announced significant financial adjustments following their latest right share issue, as per the offer document released on July 28, 2026. The authorized capital remains unchanged at PKR 4.25 billion, while the paid-up capital has surged by 56% to PKR 4.18 billion from PKR 2.68 billion. This substantial increase in capital comes amid efforts to bolster the company’s financial standing.

The net asset value per share has decreased by 20.65%, dropping from PKR 30.22 to PKR 23.98. In contrast, the gearing ratio has improved, decreasing by 25.27% from 1.42 to 1.06, reflecting a stronger equity position relative to debt. Despite these changes, production capacity has remained constant at 482,500 units.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company’s financial performance over the past three years shows varied results. In the calendar year 2025, Waves Home Appliances Limited recorded gross revenue of PKR 5.03 billion, a minor move of 23.46% above the previous year's PKR 4.08 billion. Meanwhile, gross profit in the same period was PKR 1.01 billion, representing a moderate move of 13.52% increase from 2024. Profit before interest and tax stood at PKR 810.23 million, while profit after tax was PKR 189.20 million, showing a significant increase compared to prior years.

Net equity has also seen an increase, reaching PKR 8.09 billion in 2025 from PKR 7.97 billion in 2024. The company has not announced any dividends or bonus issues over the past three years, maintaining a conservative approach to shareholder returns.

Furthermore, Waves Home Appliances Limited is embroiled in several outstanding legal proceedings with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), dating back to as early as 2008. The company's management remains confident in its legal stance, citing favorable precedents and previous appellate successes as reasons for optimism.
