Karachi: In a significant development for Worldcall Telecom Limited (WTL), the company has been reinstated to the Normal Counter of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) following a court order. This move comes after WTL was placed in the Non-Compliant Segment due to its failure to pay the additional listing fee related to an increase in its paid-up capital.
The decision to restore WTL's status was influenced by a court order from the Senior Civil Judge Class-I in Lahore dated November 21, 2025. According to the court, the PSX has been restrained from taking any coercive measures against WTL until the next hearing. This legal intervention has prompted the PSX to comply with the directive and restore the telecom company to its previous standing.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the placement of WTL in the Non-Compliant Segment was initially notified on December 2, 2025, under PSX Notice No. PSX/N-1294. This action was taken as a result of the company's inability to meet the financial obligations associated with its capital increase.
Effective December 3, 2025, WTL's status on the PSX has been officially reverted to the Normal Counter. The PSX has indicated that it will proceed with future actions based on the forthcoming court decision. The outcome of this case is anticipated with keen interest by market participants, given its implications for the designated market category.
The situation remains fluid as the PSX awaits further judicial instructions, which will determine the next steps in this ongoing matter.
