Karachi: Zahidjee Textile Mills Limited has released its financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, revealing significant financial movements in both assets and liabilities. The report, dated October 6, 2026, provides a detailed account of the company’s financial position and profitability over the past year.
The consolidated statement of financial position shows a reduction in non-current assets from 19.18 billion rupees in 2025 to 18.45 billion rupees in 2026. Current assets also saw a decline, standing at 17.56 billion rupees compared to 17.78 billion rupees the previous year. Among current assets, cash and bank balances increased to 5.16 billion rupees from 4.07 billion rupees in 2025, reflecting prudent cash management amidst fluctuating market conditions.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Zahidjee Textile Mills reported a net worth increase to 22.73 billion rupees from 20.87 billion rupees in the prior year. The company’s sales for the year reached 38.30 billion rupees, down from 40.61 billion rupees in 2025, marking a very large or significant move in revenue.
The gross profit declined to 2.10 billion rupees from 2.67 billion rupees, while the trading profit also witnessed a decrease, ending at 17.70 million rupees from 43.69 million rupees in the previous period. Despite these reductions, the company managed to achieve a profit for the year of 1.34 billion rupees, a minor downturn from the 1.49 billion rupees recorded in 2025.
The earnings per share also showed a moderate move, decreasing from 7.81 rupees to 7.00 rupees. The company attributed the decrease in profitability to increased administrative expenses, which rose to 432.26 million rupees from 258.02 million rupees, and a reduction in other income streams.
Liabilities saw notable changes, with current liabilities decreasing to 10.10 billion rupees from 10.84 billion rupees, while non-current liabilities dropped significantly to 3.17 billion rupees from 5.26 billion rupees in 2025. This included a significant reduction in long-term finance obligations.
