Karachi: Multiple financial institutions have reported losses of share certificates on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, sparking a cautionary advisory to members.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), MCB Bank Limited has announced the loss of share certificates under Folio No. 6074 and 6073. The certificates, reported lost by Rozina Amin and Amin Padamsi respectively, were associated with addresses in the Garden East area of Karachi. The shares involved ranged from 27 to 100 per certificate, with distinctive numbers detailed in the lost reports. The bank has issued a notice to prevent transactions of these certificates unless objections are raised within seven days, after which duplicate certificates will be issued.
Similarly, Exide Pakistan Limited reported a loss under Folio No. 1652, with Muhammad Saleem as the person notifying the loss. A total of 20 shares have been affected, located at the company's address in Old Town Mithadar, Karachi.
Soneri Bank Limited also reported the loss of shares under Folio No. 25012, with Amin Paciamsi listed as the notifier. The loss involves 125 shares, detailed similarly in the bank's notice.
The Bank of Khyber detailed an extensive loss under Folio No. 62957, reported by Muhammad Agit. This incident involves several certificates totaling 1,013 shares lost, connected to various addresses in Karachi's Saadi Town and Pakland Housing Society.
All institutions have issued a similar advisory to the Exchange's members, emphasizing the need for vigilance and the avoidance of dealing in the specified certificates until the objection period has passed. This measure seeks to safeguard the interests of the shareholders and maintain order in the trading environment.
