Karachi: MCB Bank Limited has reported a loss of share certificates against folio number 59266, according to an official notification sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The document details the missing certificates for 50 shares, under certificate numbers 459711 to 459712 with distinctive numbers from 87590721 to 87590777.

The loss was formally communicated to the PSX on October 8, 2024, by THK Associates Pvt. Limited, the share registrar and board governance firm for MCB Bank. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), all market participants have been advised not to transact these shares until further notice. The bank has been instructed to issue duplicate certificates if no objection is received within seven days of the notice.

This action ensures the protection of shareholder rights and prevents potential fraudulent activity involving the lost shares. MCB Bank and the PSX are closely monitoring the situation to uphold market integrity.
