Crescent Textile Mills CEO Increases Stake in Company by Acquiring Additional Shares

Lahore: The Crescent Textile Mills Limited disclosed that its Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Shafi, has recently increased his stake in the company through a series of transactions. This development, in accordance with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Regulation 5.6.4, highlights the CEO's growing investment in the textile firm.

Ahmad Shafi executed two separate transactions on consecutive days in June 2025. On June 12, 2025, Shafi purchased 18,000 shares at a rate of 15.76 per share. This acquisition was followed by another purchase on June 13, 2025, where he acquired an additional 4,488 shares at a rate of 15.57 per share.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these transactions have increased Shafi's cumulative shareholding in Crescent Textile Mills to 22,690,905 shares, maintaining a holding percentage of 22.69%. The shares were acquired in the ready market, utilizing the Central Depository Company (CDC) system, which is a standard for handling electronic securities transactions in Pakistan.

The designated market category for these transactions is the ready market, which facilitates the immediate exchange of shares between buyers and sellers. This move by the CEO represents a notable increase in personal investment in the company, signaling confidence in the firm's future prospects.
