Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the suspension of trading activities for the Government of Pakistan (GoP) Ijarah Sukuk issued on June 28, 2024. The suspension is in place due to the upcoming rental payment scheduled for June 28, 2025. The affected securities include both Fixed Rental Rate (FRR) and Variable Rental Rate (VRR) Sukuks, which were issued through a primary market auction at the PSX.
The suspension period for trading, clearing, and settlement at the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) and the movement in sub-accounts and investor accounts at the Central Depository Company (CDC) is specified from June 25, 2025, to June 27, 2025. The shut period for CDC operations related to these securities will also commence on June 26, 2025, and extend to June 27, 2025.
The securities affected by this suspension include the 3-Year and 5-Year Fixed Rental Rate Sukuks, with maturity dates on June 28, 2027, and June 28, 2029, respectively, and the 3-Year and 5-Year Variable Rental Rate Sukuks, also maturing on the same dates.
