Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan has approved the appointment of a new board of directors for Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited. According to a letter dated April 29, 2025, the central bank has granted Fit & Proper Test (FPT) clearance, permitting the appointment of several key figures to the bank's leadership team.
The newly approved board comprises seven directors, including Mr. Rehan Muhammad Shaikh, who will serve as the Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director. Mr. Christopher Parson has been appointed as the Chairman and a Non-Executive Director. The board also includes Ms. Rola Abu Manneh and Mr. Sheikh Jobe, both as Non-Executive Directors.
Additional appointments include Mr. Ehsan Ali Malik, Mr. Badaruddin Fatehali Vellani, and Mr. Ghiasuddin Khan, all serving as Independent Non-Executive Directors. These appointments are expected to shape the strategic direction and governance of the bank.
