Pakistan Stock Exchange Issues Risk Warning Alert Against Dost Steels Limited

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has issued a Risk Warning Alert (RWA) against Dost Steels Limited (DSL) following the company's failure to adhere to compliance regulations. This action, effective from July 31, 2025, comes after DSL did not resolve its non-compliance issue as per PSX Regulation 5.11.1.(d), which required the payment of a penalty imposed under clause 5.21.1. of the PSX Regulations. The designated market category is the Non-Compliant Segment.

On May 02, 2025, a notice, PSX/N-449, was issued granting DSL a 90-day period to rectify the non-compliance. However, DSL did not fulfill this requirement by the July 30, 2025 deadline. As a result, the PSX has activated the RWA, aligning with clause 5.11.3.(d) of its regulations. The alert signals that DSL is now categorized under the Non-Compliant Segment, highlighting the risk of potential trading suspension or delisting from the Exchange.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the RWA serves to notify the market of companies in continuous violation of specified clauses, with the possibility of imposed conditions and terms. DSL now faces a further 90-day period, until October 28, 2025, to correct its non-compliance, specifically through the settlement of outstanding dues to the PSX. Failing this, the PSX may proceed with additional measures, including mandating a compulsory buy-back by DSL's sponsors and majority shareholders, as per clause 5.11.3.(e) of the PSX Regulations.
