Karachi: Jubilee General Insurance Company Limited has reported its financial results for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2025, revealing a notable increase in total assets but a decline in underwriting results. The financial statements were approved at a board meeting held on October 24, 2025, in Karachi.
The company's total assets increased to 68.69 billion rupees from 53.24 billion rupees as of December 31, 2024. This growth is largely attributed to significant increases in equity securities, debt securities, and insurance receivables. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the equity securities saw a very large move with a 22.87% increase, while debt securities experienced a major move, rising by 12.63%.
Despite the growth in assets, the underwriting results for the nine-month period showed a downturn, registering a loss of 53.67 million rupees compared to a profit of 640.16 million rupees in the same period last year. This decline is primarily due to an increase in net insurance claims, which grew from 2.78 billion rupees to 3.73 billion rupees, and management expenses, which saw a big move with a 16.16% increase.
The company's net investment income, however, rose significantly to 4.84 billion rupees from 2.63 billion rupees, contributing to an overall profit before tax of 5.22 billion rupees, up from 4.09 billion rupees last year. The profit after tax also climbed to 3.24 billion rupees from 2.41 billion rupees, marking a significant move of 34.78%.
No interim cash dividend or bonus shares have been declared for the period. The financial results are slated to be transmitted through PUCARS separately, within the specified timeframe.
