Karachi: The Government of Pakistan Ijarah Sukuk (GIS), with the maturity date of May 29, 2026, has reached its conclusion, resulting in its imminent delisting from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). This development follows the successful final payment to all eligible investors by the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) on the same date.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the security, identified as P01GIS290526, will no longer be active in the market. The delisting is scheduled to take effect on June 01, 2026, as outlined in the secondary market joint procedures of the PSX, Central Depository Company (CDC), and NCCPL. It is noted that May 30 and May 31, 2026, fall on a weekend, thus the effective date of the delisting is set for the following Monday.
The PSX Notice# PSX/N-611, dated May 15, 2026, initially informed market participants about the suspension of trading in the GIS due to its maturity payment. This notice has now culminated in the de-listing announcement, closing the chapter on this specific financial instrument within the designated market category. All involved parties have been duly informed to acknowledge and act in accordance with this update.
