Pakgen Limited Schedules Extraordinary General Meeting to Elect New Board of Directors

Lahore: Pakgen Limited has announced an Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) scheduled for September 1, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., to be held at the Emporium Mall, the Nishat Hotel in Lahore. The meeting aims to elect seven directors for the company, which was formerly known as Pakgen Power Limited.

The company has specified that the Ordinary Shares Transfer Books will be closed from August 18, 2026, to September 1, 2026. The closure is designated for the purpose of attending and voting at the EOGM, as well as the election of directors. Shareholders wishing to participate must ensure their physical transfers or CDS Transactions IDs are received by the Share Registrar in Karachi by 1:00 p.m. on August 17, 2026.

The agenda for the EOGM includes the election of seven directors for a new three-year term, as stipulated by Section 159 of the Companies Act, 2017. The candidates for re-election include Mrs. Sadia Younas Mansha, Mr. Samir Mustapha Chinoy, Mr. Muhammad Ali Zeb, Sheikh Muhammad Shakeel, Dr. Arif Bashir, Mr. Ghazanfar Hussain Mirza, and Mr. Farrukh Ifzal. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these individuals are the retiring directors eligible to offer themselves for re-election.

Additionally, a Statement of Material Facts, as required under Section 166(3) of the Companies Act, 2017, is included in the notice to clarify the selection process for independent directors.
