On August 7, 2026, Bank AL Habib Limited disclosed the loss of share certificates for a total of 582 shares. The certificates, belonging to Mrs. Shaheen Rafi, include five certificates numbered from 136418 to 136422, representing distinctive numbers from 23793101 to 23793600, totaling 500 shares. Additionally, one certificate numbered 218752, covering distinctive numbers from 36493286 to 36493367, accounts for 82 shares. The bank has requested that the information be circulated among exchange members, advising them not to engage in transactions involving the mentioned certificates. If no objections are raised within seven days of the notice, the bank plans to issue duplicate certificates to the shareholder.
In a similar announcement, National Bank of Pakistan reported the loss of share certificates totaling 6,875 shares. The certificates, associated with the deceased shareholder Fazal Ahmad, include multiple scrip numbers with distinctive numbers ranging from 403192894 to 2060144986. The bank has detailed the loss of shares across several certificates, with quantities varying from 190 to 1,714 shares per certificate. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the bank has advised members not to transact with the affected certificates and will issue duplicates if no objections arise within the specified seven-day period.
