This notification has been circulated to members of the Pakistan Stock Exchange, advising them not to engage in transactions involving these certificates until further notice.
The companies affected by this incident include Oil & Gas Development Company Limited, International Brands (Private) Limited, Dolmen City REIT, and Habib Bank Limited. The report indicates that the loss involves both verified and unverified transfer deeds associated with these certificates.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the report highlights specific details regarding the lost certificates. For Oil & Gas Development Company Limited, 1,000 shares are reported lost under the name of Mrs. Bilkis Bano. Dolmen City REIT has reported a similar loss of 1,000 shares under the custody of Muhammad Asad Ali.
International Brands (Private) Limited has experienced a significant loss, with 3.70 million shares reported missing. The report notes these shares as temporary folio withhold bonus shares of court cases. Habib Bank Limited has numerous certificates reported lost, involving several individuals, with varying numbers of shares ranging from a single share to as many as 100 shares per certificate.
The notification stipulates that if no objections are received within seven days of the notice, duplicate share certificates will be issued to the concerned shareholders. This step is in accordance with the regulatory framework designed to address such situations.
