Karachi: First National Bank Modaraba has disclosed its financial results for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2026, revealing a significant loss amidst declining income and increased liabilities. The statement of financial position shows total assets of 443.35 million rupees, an increase from 425.42 million rupees in 2025. Current assets rose to 403.18 million rupees, with a notable increase in short-term investments, now valued at 354.01 million rupees. However, non-current assets decreased to 40.16 million rupees, down from 44.37 million rupees the previous year.
Liabilities have surged to 473.23 million rupees, up from 450.95 million rupees in 2025. This rise is primarily driven by accrued profit on short-term financing, which climbed to 216.70 million rupees. The net liabilities for the year stand at 29.88 million rupees, compared to 25.53 million rupees the previous year.
The financial report indicates a total income of 38.94 million rupees, marking a very large or significant move with a decrease from last year’s 49.14 million rupees. This decline is attributed to a reduction in profit on short-term investments, which dropped to 32.39 million rupees. Operating expenses increased to 17.63 million rupees, and the finance cost was recorded at 25.64 million rupees.

The loss per modaraba certificate is reported at 0.17 rupees, a minor move from last year’s 0.16 rupees.
