Attock Cement Pakistan Limited to Consider Name Change to Falcon Cement Limited at Extraordinary General Meeting

Islamabad: Attock Cement Pakistan Limited has issued an addendum to its previous notice, introducing a proposal for a name change to Falcon Cement Limited. The update, dated October 5, 2026, supplements the original notice from September 29, 2026, regarding the Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM). The meeting is scheduled for October 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., to be held at the Jacaranda Family Club, DHA Phase-II, Islamabad, with an option for virtual attendance via video conference.

The main agenda of the EOGM is to deliberate and vote on the proposal to alter the company's name from "Attock Cement Pakistan Limited" to "Falcon Cement Limited." This change, if approved, will also require modifications to the company's Memorandum and Articles of Association. The proposal is contingent upon obtaining all necessary approvals and registrations from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and any other relevant authorities.

The resolution, detailed in the addendum, states that the company's new name will replace all instances of the old name in both the Memorandum and Articles of Association. Furthermore, the office location clause in the Articles of Association is set to be amended, reflecting the company's operations in the Province of Punjab.

In addition, the Chief Executive Officer and the Company Secretary have been authorized to undertake all required actions and documentation processes with the SECP and other competent authorities to facilitate the proposed name change.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this proposed change marks a significant juncture for Attock Cement Pakistan Limited, as it seeks to rebrand and potentially redefine its market identity.

The addendum to the notice specifies that aside from the inclusion of this special business, all original terms and conditions from the September 29, 2026 notice remain valid. Members have been reminded of the original arrangements for the EOGM, ensuring continuity in the meeting's procedural aspects.
