Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the trading and settlement schedule for Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) for January 2027, as outlined in a report dated October 30, 2026. The schedule, applicable to all market participants, includes detailed timelines for the opening, closing, and settlement of contracts.
According to the schedule, the January 2027 contract will commence on November 2, 2026, a Monday, and will close on January 29, 2027, a Friday. Settlement is scheduled for February 1, 2027, which falls on a Monday. The PSX retains the authority to modify these dates if necessary.
The PSX has also introduced new securities eligible for trading in the DFC market, effective from November 2026. These include Clover Pakistan Limited (CLOV), Frieslandcampina Engro Pakistan (FCEPL), Oilboy Energy Limited (OBOY), Treet Battery Limited (TBL), Yousaf Weaving Mills Limited (YOUW), and JS Momentum Factor Exchange Traded Funds (JSMFETF). The trading and settlement timeline for these securities mirrors the general DFC schedule, beginning on November 2, 2026.
In addition, the PSX has announced that Bank Makramah Limited (BML), Ghani Global Holdings Limited (GGL), Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited (HMB), and Image Pakistan Limited (IMAGE) will be included in the eligible securities list for DFC-JAN-2027. These securities will not be part of the list after January 2027.
Securities trading in January 2027, such as those of Askari Bank Limited (AKBL), Bank Alfalah Limited (BAFL), and Faysal Bank Limited (FABL), among others, will not qualify for benefit payments due to book closure dates set by the respective companies.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the designated market category includes companies across various sectors, such as Adamjee Insurance Company Limited, Air Link Communication Limited, and Bank AL Habib Limited, along with others like Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd and Systems Limited.
The PSX reserves the right to amend the schedule, underscoring the dynamic nature of the securities market and ensuring that participants are informed of potential changes. The comprehensive list of eligible securities for DFC-JAN-2027 is included in Annexure A of the report.
