The broader economic context during the first quarter of FY2026-27 showed a mixed landscape. However, inflationary pressures emerged with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation reaching 10.3% in September 2026.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Ghani Value Glass Limited's financial improvements are noteworthy against the backdrop of a challenging economic environment. The current account recorded a deficit of US$874 million, up from US$755 million in the previous year, while workers' remittances amounted to US$3.59 billion in September 2026.

The State Bank of Pakistan reported foreign exchange reserves of approximately US$21.5 billion at the end of September. Large-scale manufacturing grew by 1.85% during the first two months of the fiscal year, indicating a modest improvement in industrial activity despite challenges such as volatile energy prices, geopolitical tensions, and rising production costs.
