The economic landscape during the first quarter was characterized by macroeconomic stability in Pakistan, despite external challenges such as global economic volatility and geopolitical conflicts. The textile sector faced challenges with domestic cotton production, although there was a 7.53% increase in cotton arrivals, reaching 4.08 million bales by October 15, 2026. The industry's reliance on imported cotton remains due to domestic production shortfalls, affecting raw material costs and overall margins.
Gadoon Textile Mills experienced a 10.28% increase in yarn sales, driven by a change in product mix and market demand. Distribution and administrative costs rose due to higher exports, fuel costs, and inflationary pressures, although finance costs remained stable due to strategic financing approaches.
The company's commitment to corporate social responsibility was evident through initiatives such as a tree plantation drive, health awareness sessions, and a blood donation campaign, emphasizing environmental conservation and community health.
In terms of workforce development, the company invested in employee training programs focusing on AI, leadership, communication, and workplace safety, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability.
