Karachi: Atlas Honda Limited has declared a first interim cash dividend for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027. The announcement was made following a board meeting held on October 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The dividend has been set at Rs. 56 per share, equating to an impressive 560% return for entitled shareholders.
To establish eligibility for the dividend, the company's share transfer books will be closed on November 12 and 13, 2026. Share transfer requests that are received by the close of business on November 11, 2026, will be processed in time for the dividend payment to the transferees.
The company advises shareholders to update any changes in their registered addresses and provide necessary documentation, such as copies of valid CNIC or NTN, to the Share Registrar, Mis Hameed Majeed Associates (Private) Limited, located at H.M. House, 7-Bank Square, Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Lahore.
As per the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) directives, all cash dividends will be distributed electronically to the designated bank accounts of eligible shareholders. Physical shareholders can submit their International Bank Account Number (IBAN) details using the form available on the company's website. Shareholders holding shares through the Central Depository Company (CDC) should provide their bank mandate details to CDC Investor Account Services or their respective brokers.
Non-compliance with these directives will result in withholding of dividends. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Atlas Honda Limited's decision comes amid a notable performance phase, reflecting the company's solid financial positioning.
The withholding tax will be determined based on the Latest Active Taxpayers List (ATL) available on the Federal Board of Revenue's website. For joint shareholders, tax deductions will align with the ratio or share communicated to the Share Registrar. Otherwise, an equal distribution will be assumed.
Additionally, Zakat at the rate of 2.5% of the paid-up share value will be deducted at source unless shareholders provide a Zakat Declaration Form CZ-50, as outlined under the Zakat and Ushr Ordinance, 1980. Shareholders should ensure the inclusion of Atlas Honda Limited's name and their respective CDS A/C or Folio numbers on these declarations.
