Karachi: Ali Asghar Textile Mills Limited (AATM) has been given a deadline of August 06, 2024, to address its failure to comply with Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Regulation 5.1 1.1.(d), concerning the non-payment of penalties imposed by the Exchange. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the textile firm was initially notified of this non-compliance on May 09, 2024, through PSX Notice No. PSX/N-433, and was reminded again with a final notice on July 10, 2024.
The specific regulation pertains to the failure to pay penalties within the designated period. If AATM does not rectify this issue by the set deadline, the PSX may take further action under the subsequent provisions of PSX Regulation 5.1 1.3.(d). However, if the company meets the compliance requirements in time, it stands a chance to be reinstated to the Normal Counter of the Exchange, which would signify a return to regular trading status.
