Islamabad: Bank Makramah Ltd. has announced a scheduled court hearing concerning its proposed Scheme of Reorganisation. According to a disclosure made by the bank on October 30, 2026, the Islamabad High Court will address the matter on Monday, November 2, 2026.
The reorganisation plan, if approved, aims to adjust the shareholding structure of Bank Makramah Ltd. Specifically, the plan would decrease the majority shareholding of His Excellency Nasser Abdulla Hussain Lootah from 83.78% to 75.80%. Correspondingly, an equivalent number of ordinary shares would be issued to the other shareholders of the bank, distributed on a pro rata basis.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Book Closure Date, which is essential for implementing the Scheme, will be announced following the court's sanction. This announcement will be made through the designated market category, ensuring that shareholders are duly informed of the developments.
The finalisation of this Scheme remains contingent upon the court's decision, which could significantly impact the shareholding dynamics within Bank Makramah Ltd.
