Dadabhoy Cement Industries Reports Significant Increase in Quarterly Loss

Karachi: Dadabhoy Cement Industries Limited has reported a substantial increase in its quarterly losses for the period ending September 30, 2026. The company's un-audited financial statements reveal a notable deterioration in its financial performance compared to the same period last year.

Administrative expenses rose to 8,455 thousand rupees, up from 5,509 thousand rupees in the previous year, contributing to an operating loss of the same amount. This indicates a significant move of 53.48% in administrative expenses, affecting overall financial stability.

The company's other income also experienced a decline, falling to 1,808 thousand rupees from 2,386 thousand rupees in the prior year. This reduction in income further exacerbated the financial strain, resulting in a loss before taxation of 6,646 thousand rupees, more than double the loss of 3,122 thousand rupees reported in the corresponding period of 2025. This represents a very large or significant move of 112.88% in pre-tax losses.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Dadabhoy Cement Industries operates within the designated market category of construction materials. The financial results indicate the challenges faced by the company amid rising expenses and declining income.

The loss after taxation mirrored the pre-tax figures at 6,646 thousand rupees, compared to a loss of 3,122 thousand in the previous year. This translated into a loss per share of 0.07 rupees, doubling from 0.03 rupees per share in the same quarter last year.

The absence of other operating expenses, finance costs, and taxation suggests that the increased administrative costs played a critical role in the overall financial performance of Dadabhoy Cement Industries during this period.
