Hira Textile Mills Faces Trading Suspension Following Regulatory Non-Compliance

Karachi: Hira Textile Mills Limited is facing an imminent suspension of trading in its shares due to its non-compliance with regulatory requirements for two consecutive years. The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has issued a notice outlining the company's failure to convene its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and submit Annual Audited Financial Statements for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2025, and June 30, 2026.

The PSX had previously issued a Risk Warning Alert against Hira Textile Mills on May 12, 2026, under Notice No. PSX/N-578, indicating the company's initial failure to meet its statutory obligations. The company's continued non-compliance has now triggered the provisions of PSX Regulations 5.11.1.(b) and (c), which mandate the suspension of trading in the shares of companies that fail to hold AGMs and submit financial statements for two consecutive years.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Hira Textile Mills has been granted a further period of 14 trading days to rectify its non-compliance. If the company fails to address the issues within seven trading days from the notice date of October 29, 2026, trading in its shares will be restricted to T / 0 (SPOT) transactions for an additional seven days, concluding on November 19, 2026.

Should Hira Textile Mills remain non-compliant by November 20, 2026, the PSX will proceed with the suspension of trading in the company's shares, as stipulated by the exchange's regulations. This action underscores the PSX's commitment to enforcing compliance among listed companies, ensuring transparency and accountability in the market.
