Hub Power Company Announces Successful Commissioning of Lundali-1 Well

Karachi: The Hub Power Company Limited, through its joint venture Prime International Oil and Gas Company Limited, has announced the successful commissioning of the Lundali-1 Well in the Sukhpur-II Concession. The milestone was reached on September 6, 2026, marking a significant advancement in Pakistan's energy sector.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), dated September 9, 2026, the Lundali-1 Well is now flowing at 10 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas at a wellhead pressure of 2,000 psi. The gas from this well is being supplied to the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC), enhancing the country's domestic gas supply.

Prime International Oil and Gas Company Limited operates as a joint venture with Hub Power Holdings Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Hub Power Company Limited. The project is managed by Prime's subsidiary, Prime Global Energies Limited, which is the designated operator of the Sukhpur-II Concession. The joint venture partners include Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Mari Energies Limited (MEL), and Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited (TPOC).

The Sukhpur-II (Block 2568-23) Petroleum Concession Agreement and Exploration Licence became effective on December 2, 2025. Following this, the joint venture expedited activities within the block, leading to the successful commissioning of the Lundali-1 Well.

This development underscores HUBCO Group's dedication to enhancing Pakistan's energy security by tapping into indigenous hydrocarbon resources.
