Karachi: Kohinoor Industries Limited has disclosed a significant transaction involving one of its independent directors, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, according to a notice released under PSX Regulation 5.6.4. The transaction, executed on October 31, 2025, involved the sale of 5,000 shares in the company at a rate of 49.0516 per share.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this transaction has resulted in a big move, with the cumulative percentage of shares held by Sheikh Aftab Ahmed standing at 0.53%. The disclosure is part of a regulatory requirement stipulating that transactions executed by directors and other key stakeholders must be reported and presented to the Board of Directors.
The company’s communication also highlighted compliance measures, including the requirement for the company secretary to present the transaction details at the next board meeting. This process includes the submission of extracts of minutes via Form-30 through PUCARS. Additionally, the regulations mandate a holding period of over six months for such transactions, with any profits from shorter-term transactions requiring deposit with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
It was further noted that no director, CEO, or executive is permitted to engage in share dealings during a closed period. Kohinoor Industries Limited is expected to update the relevant details in the UIN Management System promptly.
