MCB Pakistan Asset Allocation Fund Reports Substantial Income Increase for Fiscal Year 2026

Karachi: The Board of Directors of MCB Investment Management Limited reported financial results for the MCB Pakistan Asset Allocation Fund for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, reflecting a substantial performance increase. The announcement came after a meeting held at the company's head office in Karachi on August 4, 2026.

The fund's net income for the year before taxation was reported at 400.10 million rupees, compared to 307.64 million rupees in the previous fiscal year. This rise in net income marks a significant move of 30.08%, indicating a robust fiscal performance. The net income after taxation remained the same at 400.10 million rupees, as there was no taxation applied.

According to the income statement, the total income for the year stood at 461.83 million rupees, a notable increase from 342.33 million rupees in the previous year. The net realized gain on the sale of investments alone contributed 235.69 million rupees, up from 163.18 million rupees, denoting a very large or significant move of 44.41%.

Operating expenses also saw a rise, with the total reaching 61.72 million rupees, compared to 34.69 million rupees the previous year. The remuneration of MCB Investment Management Limited as the management company increased to 42.36 million rupees from 22.43 million rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the fund's accounting income available for distribution, relating to capital gains, amounted to 322.19 million rupees, significantly higher than the previous year's figure of 223.47 million rupees.

The cash flow statement revealed that net cash used in operating activities was 61.84 million rupees, contrasting with 259.60 million rupees generated in the previous year. However, net cash generated from financing activities was reported at 287.62 million rupees, a turnaround from a negative cash flow of 223.74 million rupees in the prior year, indicating a big move.

The fund's financial position at the end of the fiscal year showed cash and cash equivalents of 350.45 million rupees, a substantial increase from 124.68 million rupees at the beginning of the year, signifying strong liquidity management.

The financial results place the MCB Pakistan Asset Allocation Fund in the designated market category of asset management companies, where it continues to exhibit growth and resilience in a dynamic economic environment.
