Lahore: Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited has announced the successful issuance of its Sukuk-VIII, a mid-term financial instrument valued at Rs. 2.00 billion. This issuance, which took place on August 5, 2026, is aimed at addressing the working capital requirements of the company.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Sukuk-VIII has been structured as rated, secured, and privately placed certificates, accessible to Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs). The issuance represents the minimum subscription amount under this financial instrument. The Sukuk comes with a duration of three years, providing a mid-term financial solution for the company's operational needs.
The total potential size of the Sukuk issuance is pegged at Rs. 2.50 billion, which includes a Green Shoe Option valued at Rs. 500 million. This option remains open for further subscription, and the company plans to issue a separate notification concerning its placement and completion if it is exercised.
