Nestlé Pakistan Reports Resilient Financial Performance Amid Challenging Environment

Lahore: Nestlé Pakistan Limited has demonstrated resilience in its financial performance for the nine months ending September 30, 2026, despite facing a challenging geopolitical and business operating environment. The company's directors released the condensed interim financial statements in a report dated October 27, 2026.

Net sales for the period amounted to PKR 160.26 billion, marking a 6.3% increase from the previous year. This growth was achieved amidst rising inflation, political instability, and escalating fuel and energy prices, exacerbated by the ongoing US-Iran conflict. The company's ability to maintain business momentum was attributed to strategic investments in brand development, consumer-focused innovations, and disciplined pricing.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Nestlé's gross profit saw an 8.1% increase, reaching PKR 61.31 billion. The gross profit margin improved to 38.3% from 37.6% in the previous year. However, operating profit growth was slightly dampened, recording a 5.9% increase to PKR 28.61 billion, as higher distribution costs and brand investments offset some gains.

Net profit after tax rose by 3.1%, totaling PKR 14.53 billion, despite the burden of increased taxation expenses. Earnings per share also grew by 3.1%, reaching PKR 320.3. The company has taken steps to mitigate foreign exchange risks and enhance supply chain resilience by accelerating localization and securing critical inventories.

Nestlé's commitment to green energy initiatives, particularly in solar and biomass, aided in counterbalancing energy costs and reducing carbon emissions. This focus on sustainability, along with strategic market execution and export route strengthening, has contributed to the company's enduring performance in a volatile market.
