PSX Mandates Submission of Verified Clients’ Assets Segregation Statement

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has issued a directive mandating the submission of the annual Clients' Assets Segregation Statement (CASS), duly verified by statutory auditors, for all eligible Securities Brokers. This requirement, as outlined in PSX Regulation 4.17.5, excludes Trading Only and Online Only Securities Brokers.

According to the regulations, Securities Brokers with a financial year ending on June 30, 2026, must submit their verified CASS by August 17, 2026. The PSX emphasizes the importance of adherence to this deadline, as failure to comply will result in enforcement actions under PSX Regulation 20.8.3. Such actions include the potential switching-off of trading terminals, a significant measure aimed at ensuring compliance.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the submission of the CASS is a critical compliance requirement that ensures the proper segregation of clients' assets. The PSX's enforcement of these regulations seeks to maintain transparency and accountability within the securities market, safeguarding investor interests.

The designated market category for this regulation includes Securities Brokers, except those designated as Trading Only and Online Only. The PSX's directive serves as a reminder of the regulatory responsibilities incumbent upon Securities Brokers, reinforcing the need for timely and accurate financial reporting.
